BakeMaster 12 Cup Silicone Muffin and Cupcake Pan

I got this 12 cup silicone cupcake pan from BakeMaster to review. It’s a super bright red pan and is made of a soft food grade silicone. I decided I was going to make matcha green tea cupcakes with strawberry preserve filling and a whipped topping with preserves in it as well. I thought I’d try this recipe out with this pan because it’s a bit of a sticky batter and sticky when done too so, I’d be able to test how well they popped out of it with this recipe.

I made my batter, I am super obsessed with the smell of matcha but it’s not for everyone. I will warn you it’s a green batter and might look scary to some lol but I assure you it tastes amazing and is healthy for you as well! Mixed up my batter and did equal amounts into every single cup in the silicone cupcake pan. I will advise grabbing firmly with both hands when putting it into the oven as it bowed a bit when I first lifted it and I almost spilled everything. I think a way to avoid this would be to put a cookie sheet under it just to keep it sturdier, it didn’t really bug me enough to do this so I just popped it into the oven at the recipes instructed temp and baked them for the minimal time required. I’m wondering if the silicone helped cook them quicker or shave off baking time a few minutes but they were done pretty quickly and each one was evenly cooked.

Now I popped them out super easy, they left a tiny amount of cupcake residue behind but if you felt how sticky these guys were you’d be equally impressed with how easy they popped out. I didn’t have to fight with the pan at all and cleaning it was a breeze too!
