Doggie Lawn {toss the pee pads}

Pet owners I am excited to tell you about a product that might make your life easier! I’ve had many friends with inside dogs, puppies, full grown, huge, tiny, some have the full attention of their owners with stay at home moms and some are furbabies to parents who have full time jobs and can’t be there every second of the day in case they need to run out to go potty. I’ve witnessed friends buy puppy pee pads and have them all around the house in an attempt to give their pets a designated area to potty without getting in trouble or having to be kenneled.

Some people put their pets in a kennel the entire time they are not home, others like to have them free roam the home but the truth is if you gotta go you gotta go and either there are pee pads laid out for them or an accident may occur.

I bring you an idea that is simple and effective!

Also, being a green eco friendly blog the option to replace pee pads with a literal green option made me geeked!

Doggie Lawn is basically your dogs back yard in a box! You sign up online, pick your plan, and size, depending on the size of your pet. We received the standard box 24″ X 20″ which was perfect for our training puppy who seems to have a bladder the size of a dime, and could be nick named tinkles with all the accidents he’s had with running in and out of the house a zillion times a day potty training is good some days and horrible others! We were recently given puppy pee pads -.- I’d rather not go into how those failed but the Doggie Lawn blew our minds!

You get your Doggie Lawn ready to use at your door, then in two weeks, you’ll receive another shipment of grass to replace the one you have.

Why I love Doggie Lawn:
*specially formulated, hydroponically grown grass
*grass weighs slightly more than one half as much as standard sod for easy lifting and is “soil-less
*available in two sizes 24″ X 20″ (small dogs/puppies), 24″ x 48” (multiple dogs/large dogs)
*disposable potty box – no maintenance
*Optional Plus size plastic tray available at additional cost
*receive a new DoggieLawn every other week (2 per month)
*$50-$60 a month
*easy for housetraining a puppy
*helps senior dogs with incontinence and/or arthritis
*great for avoiding the late night walk in the cold/rain/snow
*offers a DoggieLawn Lite subscription which is 1 box a month, as opposed to 2
*structure under the grass is excellent at absorbing liquids (like urine) so if used as directed there’s no leaking and no odor
*under normal use, with a single dog, we expect the grass to last anywhere from 1-4 weeks

Why is DoggieLawn better for the environment?
Artificial grass emits VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds), basically chemical fumes, which are not only bad for the environment but for humans and dogs as well. Secondly, the carbon footprint for manufacturing artificial grass is extremely high – it is a very energy intensive process during which greenhouse gases are emitted. Although some have accused natural grass of also producing greenhouse gasses, research conducted by Berkeley’s Laboratory for Manufacturing and Sustainability has found that artificial turf releases more greenhouse gases in its production, transportation and processing than the production and maintenance of natural turf.
