So, one of my readers was unable to attend the Lorax showing and gave me her pass, I decided to take my lil brother to the movie we got there about 9:00 and there was a line waiting to go in. We stood for a bit then were let into the theater with a mark on our hand to indicate we were allowed to be there lol and a pair of spiffy 3D glasses. I was crazy excited! I love the Lorax, I loved the book, I’ve talked about the Lorax before with enthusiasm and read the book to Sethster often but now I had the chance to see it played out as I had done so many times with my active imagination as a child!
Seth had a play date with his dad during this time and so I sat with my brother Dustin and became a kid myself for a bit!
My cousin Noelia happened to be a winner of one of the passes and she was the first in line at 8am, we snapped a shot of her sitting with her book The Lorax <3 and knitting... we thought it was cute asked if she making a thneed!
I’m being quite useful. This thing is a Thneed.
A Thneed’s a Fine-Something-That-All-People-Need!
It’s a shirt. It’s a sock. It’s a glove. It’s a hat.
But it has OTHER uses. Yes, far beyond that.
You can use it for carpets. For pillows! For sheets!
Or curtains! Or covers for bicycle seats!” -DR. SEUSS-
Not to worry no Truffula trees were harmed in her creation I can vouch for that! The movie was perfect though! I enjoyed it very much and felt giddy the whole way threw! I cannot wait for everyone to go see it, it has a cute message behind it and I just adored the Lorax character!
We continued our Lorax theme by going to Ihop after the movie and eating the pipsqueek breakfast of green eggs and ham and truffula tree pancakes! The eggs are pretty much eggs with spinach which I love I wish they had made the ham green though lol. I wish there were a way to make the pancakes less sugar filled though, is there such a thing as healthy or sugar free sprinkles?
We also got some Truffula tree seeds (by the way I have no idea what kind of seeds are actually in there) that came with a bookmark at Ihop… totally neat idea!
Our friends Nicole and Dave helped us end our outing with a bang! That was the end of our Dr. Seuss outing buuuut we headed out to a yogurt place called Orange Leaf that blew my mind! Not only do they have a neat system going to grab your own yogurt, interesting flavors, and toppings but you can grab a bowl and mix and match including your toppings! It is also sold by weight which is pretty spiffy!
Nicole and I are fans of Taro which just so happens to be a flavor they offer! I grabbed that mixed with a vanilla and topped mine off with popping boba (almost like juice filled balls with a thin gummy layer on the outside) which were strawberry, orange and mango flavored and a sweet dough like topping… and of course a cherry… you have to have a cherry!

LAST pic of the day, me chowing down on yogurt 😀
For some reason the whole experience just made me so geeked! Their decor was cute, the flavors were intense and their spoons are little shovels which happen to say “biodegradable” on their backs… I kept all our spoons and brought them home lol… I plan to let Seth use them.
ALL IN ALL PERFECT DAY! THANKYOU TO MY FRIENDS NICOLE AND DAVE AND MY LIL BRO FOR GOING WITH ME AND TO MY COUSIN AND AUNT WHO HAPPENED TO WIN TICKETS AND PROVIDE THAT CUTE FIRST PICTURE OF HER MAKING A THNEED 😉
